Imagination & creativity in children books
A father and his child go hiking in nature. They are both amazed by the freedom of the birds and begin to dream, for even though they have no wings, they have their imagination. With it, they can build a nest in the clouds, tickle the birds or paint with them across the sky, chase shooting stars and give them to each other… And you, what would you dream of?

A word from the author of the poem that inspired this book:
I was living in Japan when the great earthquake of March 11, 2011 struck, triggering a devastating tsunami and the explosion of the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Invisible radiation began to spread, and fear settled within me. Two months later, I moved to France and began reflecting on human imagination—that wonderful force capable of creating a thousand things, but whose absence can be harmful, even destructive.
I wrote this poem in French, hoping the wings of imagination could carry it as far as possible. I then asked author and illustrator Jennifer Yerkes, whose work I greatly admire, to create the story and illustrations. Thanks to this collaboration, I was able to feel the potential of imagination and regain confidence.
I hope our readers will feel the same!
